The first of the new Japan jersey for the period 2020–2021 was officially unveiled, signed once again by Adidas.
Shirt Japan home will first be worn in the 2022 World Cup qualifying rounds, in which the team leads the F group of the second round and brings a striking look inspired by Japanese art.
A bold and unprecedented look, the Japan 2020–2021 home kit exchanges traditional blue with a ‘cloud camouflage’ print that incorporates color in addition to blue and white. Unfortunately, there is no print on the back.
The shield of the JFA and the flag occupy their usual places in the chest. A red stamp with an ambigram designed by Kazuaki Nomura adorns the inside of the neck (waist in the amateur version), with the phrase “Sunny Japan”.
At the bottom right, a red seal is highlighted, while the back of the robe is all in royal blue, except for the sleeves and the shoulder blade.
In addition, the dark blue shorts and royal blue socks, both in red accents, complete the 2020 Blue Samurai soccer jerseys for the season.
